What is stock photography?
Stock photography are those images that are shot for general use in advertising,
marketing, and other publications. If you look at any brochure, poster, website, menu,
or magazine ad, you'll see lots of images. In some cases those images were shot specifically
for that advertiser - any image with the advertiser's product in it, for instance, was
likely a custom shot. In other cases, when you see a smiling face, a happy couple, a family
playing together, or some guy doing his taxes, you're probably looking at stock photography.
