I definitely have to agree with Ed that when looking to get into controlled lighting that buying one light with one umbrella or softbox is the way to go. There’s so much that you can do with just one light even if you do have more. And it stinks to buy a set of lights and then wish you had gotten a different power light. As Ed mentioned, it’s great to know what that light can do so that you know what to add to your kit next.
